ABOUT US

Our Bernedoodle breeding program is a family-run operation on a spacious farm where our puppies are raised alongside children, ensuring they are well-socialized and loving companions. Our child is actively involved in caring for and socializing the puppies from birth with lots of cuddles and kisses. Our parent dogs are meticulously health tested, guaranteeing that our puppies inherit the best health traits possible. Located minutes away from the beach and surrounded by vast woods, our dogs have acres of land to roam and play freely. We take pride in providing a wholesome environment for our furry friends to flourish. Our goal is to provide families with healthy, well-socialized puppies that will grow up to be beloved members of their households

About the Bernedoodle

The Bernedoodle is a wonderful crossbreed that combines the intelligence and trainability of a Poodle with the loyalty and affection of a Bernese Mountain Dog. Known for their playful and friendly demeanor, Bernedoodles are great family pets and do well with children and other pets. They are also hypoallergenic, making them a good choice for people with allergies. Overall, Bernedoodles are gentle, social, and fun-loving dogs that bring joy to their owners' lives. Due to their well-balanced temperament and high trainability, our Bernedoodles are often trained as therapy dogs. They are a really excellent fit for the training regimen and tend to enjoy having a job to do. As a therapy dog, they get lots of human interaction, which they thrive on. Plus, it's a job that allows their cuddly and affectionate personality to shine!

Are Mini Bernedoodles good with young children?

This hybrid is excellent with kids of all ages and is gentle enough for interaction with even the youngest children in the family. Because of their friendly, gentle natures, Miniature Bernedoodles thrive as service and therapy dogs. Their loyalty, protectiveness, and affability make them an ideal partner for people with disabilities.

Size:

Bernedoodles typically come in three different sizes: Standard (large), Miniature, and Tiny (or Toy). Standard Bernedoodles can weigh between 50-90 pounds and stand 23-29 inches tall, while Miniature Bernedoodles usually weigh 25-49 pounds and stand 18-22 inches tall. Tiny or Toy Bernedoodles are the smallest and can weigh between 10-24 pounds and stand 12-17 inches tall.

Coat Types:

The curly coat will shed the least and is the most hypoallergenic of the three types. The curls on this coat are usually tight with a soft texture much like what you would see on a Poodle. Curly coats may still shed, but they shed the hair upon themselves rather than on your floor. Unfortunately, this shedding upon themselves is what makes it necessary for them to be brushed daily and trimmed frequently. The curly coated Bernedoodle is usually the most suitable for owners who have an allergy to dog dander. If you don’t want to deal with shedding, keep in mind that the curlier the coat, the less it’s going to shed.

The wavy coat, which is low-to non-shedding, is probably the coat most seen on Bernedoodles. This coat is very free-flowing and often has a lightly kinked or wavy appearance. Most people with allergies to dog dander (i.e., experience sneezing, watery eyes) are fine with a wavy coated dog. Note, if you are unsure if this coat type will be fine for you, we suggest that you get further allergy testing done as well as take some time to interact with doodles and their humans in your area before purchasing a puppy.

The straight coats usually shed the most and are the least hypoallergenic of the three coat types. Even though this coat is called “straight” or flat, it may actually have a slight wave to it. The length of the dog’s straight hair depends mostly on the length of the parent’s hair. Straight-coated Bernedoodles are not very common; you’ll mostly find them with wavy or curly coats.

Activity Level

A Mini Bernedoodle will need about 1 hour of exercise a day, which can be split up into walks, playtime, and romping around the dog park. When you mix the calm Bernese Mountain Dog with an energetic Poodle, you'll get an activity level somewhere in the middle. Disposition Due to a combination of two breeds, a Mini Bernedoodle puppy for sale inherits the intelligence of a Mini Poodle, the mellow, laid-back personality of a Bernese Mountain Dog, and loyalty and companionship from both breeds. A Mini Bernedoodle puppy for sale is an excellent family breed for children and adults alike. They are sweet, lively, and playful. Mini Bernedoodle puppies are extremely affectionate and eager to please. Training Miniature Bernedoodle puppies for sale are very easy to train because they're so smart. However, you'll want to change up your training routines because they can get bored easily. Enrolling your Mini Bernedoodle puppy in obedience or puppy kindergarten to get the basics of training is a great way to socialize your puppy.

Grooming Needs & Care

Little to zero shedding equals a higher maintenance dog. The Miniature Bernedoodle is a relatively easy keeper in the grooming department compared with the Miniature Poodle. As with shedding, the level of grooming is determined by the dog’s genes: a dog with more Poodle will require more frequent grooming, and a dog with more Bernese will requires fewer trips to the dog salon. The curlier the coat the more they need groomed. Most Bernedoodles need to be brushed at least 2 times a week and need a cut or trim every 8-10 weeks. Remember that low maintenance grooming doesn’t equal no grooming at all. Even Mini Bernedoodles with a straight coat can experience matting, and occasional trimming and clipping may be necessary, so keep an eye on your dog’s coat and brush at least 2 times a week. When brushing focus on areas that easily matt like behind the ears and the belly.
